Al-Hādi (The Guide) – Allah is Al-Hādi,
the One who guides His creation toward truth, goodness,
and success. As we begin the school year, we look to Allah
for guidance in our learning, relationships, and character.
The Prophet ﷺ said: "The best of people are those who are most beneficial to people." This month, students are encouraged to follow the guidance of SOAR and strive to be a positive influence within the Everest community. |

Empathy | Empathy is the ability to understand and care about the feelings and experiences of others. Students who demonstrate empathy help create a safe and inclusive school environment by showing compassion, listening respectfully, and considering how their actions affect those around them. |
Ar-Ra'uf (The Most Kind and Compassionate) - Allah is Ar-Ra'uf, the One who shows immense kindness, mercy, and compassion to His creation. Empathy allows us to understand the feelings and experiences of others and respond with care.
The Prophet ﷺ said: "None of you truly believes until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself." Students are encouraged to listen, show compassion, and support those around them. |

the One who can always be relied upon and who perfectly
manages all affairs. Responsibility means being dependable,

The Prophet ﷺ said: "Each of you is a shepherd and each of you is responsible for his flock." Students are encouraged to take ownership of their actions, learning, and commitments. |

Al-Waliyy (The Protecting Friend and Ally) -
Allah is Al-Waliyy, the One who supports, protects, and
assists His servants. Collaboration teaches us the
importance of working together, supporting one another,
and contributing positively to a team.
The Prophet ﷺ said: "The believer to another believer is like a building whose different parts support one another." Students are encouraged to cooperate, communicate respectfully, and value teamwork. |

because we know Allah is always aware of our actions.
The Prophet ﷺ said: "Truthfulness leads to righteousness, and righteousness leads to Paradise." Students are encouraged to demonstrate honesty, trustworthiness, and strong moral character. |

Al-Jabbar (The Restorer) – Allah is Al-Jabbar,
the One who restores, strengthens, and repairs what is broken.
Resilience is the ability to recover from setbacks, adapt to
challenges, and continue moving forward with hope and
determination.
The Prophet ﷺ said: "How wonderful is the affair of the believer, for there is good for him in every matter." Students are encouraged to face challenges with patience, faith, and confidence in Allah's plan. |

Ash-Shakur (The Most Appreciative) – Allah is
Ash-Shakur, the One who appreciates and rewards even the
smallest acts of goodness. Gratitude helps us recognize the
countless blessings Allah has given us and appreciate the
people who support us.
The Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever does not thank people has not thanked Allah." Students are encouraged to express appreciation, reflect on their blessings, and develop a grateful heart. |

Al-Barr (The Source of All Goodness) –
Allah is Al-Barr, the One who is perfectly good and generous
to His creation. Service and citizenship encourage us to use
our talents and abilities to benefit others and contribute
positively to our community.

Each Monthly Character trait has been intentionally aligned to a SOAR pillar to help students develop and demonstrate the values of Safety, Organization, Accountability and Respect throughout the school year.
Program Overview
The SOAR Eagles Character Framework is Everest Academy’s schoolwide character education initiative designed to cultivate students of strong Islamic character through the pillars of Safety, Organization, Accountability, and Respect (SOAR). Utilizing a color-coded framework, each pillar serves as a foundation for character development and provides students with a consistent visual connection to the values being taught throughout the year.
Through monthly character themes, students are provided opportunities to learn, practice, and demonstrate positive character traits that contribute to their personal growth, academic success, relationships, and overall well-being. By integrating character education with Islamic values, the framework seeks to foster a positive school culture where students are empowered to become responsible, respectful, and contributing members of their school and community.
Program Components
Monthly SOAR Assemblies:
At the beginning of each month, students will participate in a counselor-led SOAR Assembly where the monthly character theme is introduced and connected to the SOAR pillar, Allah’s Name, and Sunnah.
Separate assemblies will be held for:
- EB1 (Kindergarten–Grade 5)
- EB2 (Grades 6–12)
SOAR Student Presentations:
During the middle of each month, designated classes will participate in SOAR Student Presentations to reinforce the monthly character theme.
Presentations may include role plays, artwork, speeches, poetry, discussions, videos, or other student-led activities that demonstrate understanding and application of the monthly character trait. Homeroom teachers will support and guide students in preparing their presentations while encouraging meaningful connections between the monthly character theme, Islamic values, and their experiences at school, at home, and within the community.
SOAR Student Presentations provide students with meaningful opportunities to demonstrate leadership, strengthen communication skills, build confidence in public speaking, and actively engage with the monthly character theme. Through these presentations, students are encouraged to reflect upon, model, and share the values of Safety, Organization, Accountability, and Respect with the broader school community.
SOAR Eagle Recognition:
Teachers will nominate students who consistently demonstrate the monthly character theme.
Recognized students will receive:
- A SOAR Eagle Certificate
- Four Administrator Reward Tickets
Students are recognized for consistently demonstrating the monthly character theme through their actions, attitudes, and interactions with others. Teacher nominations are reviewed monthly, and selected students are recognized during the following month’s SOAR Assembly.
SOAR Commitment
The SOAR Eagles Character Framework reflects Everest Academy’s commitment to developing students of strong Islamic character through the values of Safety, Organization, Accountability, and Respect. Through intentional character education, student engagement, student leadership, and positive recognition, students are encouraged to embody these values in their daily lives and make meaningful contributions to their school, family, and community.
